It is a known fact that Education is the key to a better future, and a way to root out from Poverty. The Economical condition of majority of our Moemeneen is weak. Due to their poor financial condition, most parents cannot afford the expenses for their children's Education. This is a major hurdle for poor children of our community. Although the Government has announced education as a fundamental right, due to limited budgetary funds and lack of infrastructure in rural India, majority of the children are deprived of Education. The only solution for the community is to take the initiative to arrange required resources to educate the children of the community.

Keeping this in view, Alimaan Charitable Trust and Education Promotion Trust provides financial assistance to the under privileged students of our community throughout India. With the policy to extend financial assistance to all the students irrespective of their low scholastic percentage marks. We believe that at most times family problems and lack of infrastructure affect, resulting in low percentage. Depriving them of assistance may lead the students receiving low scholastic percentage marks to drop out from studies and this would be disastrous for the student’s future and loss for the community.

In the year 2015-16, the Trust extended financial assistance to 7700 students of Primary, Secondary, Higher Secondary School and 347 Students for Higher Education totaling to 8047 students (61% were Sadat).

Attached herewith are 2 tables showing number of students state wise and sample copies of marksheet given after examination.

Procedure of processing applications: The community members send an application to the Trust. On receiving the application, the Trust issues an application form (On receiving the same, the Trust issues application form ( same form also used for renewal)  which has to be filled in & returned .The Higher education form is used for higher classes. It has to be filled up, have it verified and attested by school and the local Aalim/ Our Trust Representative. The attestation and verification from school and the Aalim/Trust Representative would confirm the genuineness and the economic condition of the applicant.

For the academic year 2016-17, 8500 forms have already been issued and on an average, the Trust receives about 100 Plus applications daily, and it will keep continue till next 2 to 3 weeks. The Last date for submitting the application form is end 2016. The number of applications to date may well reach 10,000.

Education today has become expensive, especially in English Medium schools as these schools are not financially aided by the Government. On an average Medium standard school fees of Primary education is between Rs. 500 to Rs. 1000 per month and English Medium (Convent) schools is about Rs. 1000 plus per month. The fees increases from secondary school education.

Due to paucity/shortage of funds and a large number of applicants, we are unable to give the full amount of fees. We provide assistance of about Rs. 200 to Rs. 400 per month for Primary, Secondary Education (Rs. 2400 to Rs. 4800 per year per student), Rs. 3000 for Higher Secondary Education and about Rs. 25000 for Higher Education. In some cases of Higher Education, we pay out a substantial or full amount, if a sponsor is available.

Mode of payment: For the Higher Education we pay directly to the college or institution. For Primary, Secondary, Higher Secondary Education, we pay to the individual applicant with the condition that they have to submit the original payment receipt issued by the school.

From 2016-17, the Trust have decided to pay directly to the schools or institutions for Primary, Secondary, Higher Secondary Education and Higher Education Studies. This will be on an  experimental basis, it will be made only wherever possible to maximum extent.

A list of students along with their full details can be provided to the sponsor at their request. Should you have any queries, please feel free to ask us, we will be happy to oblige.

We also coordinate with other trusts operating for education aid to avoid any duplication in payments
